The New Zealand Mint has launched a Legal Tender silver bullion set directed at kids. While priced at roughly twice the price of spot at $259 for the 4oz set (about the same premium as the US Mint's 25th Anniversary Silver Eagle Set), it may be worth the hefty premium for the opportunity to help your children view silver as something to be treasured. The 4 coin set comes in a special pirate-looking wooden treasure box, and is legal tender in New Zealand.
