We have now also received replies from TD Ameritrade and E-trade on gold/silver futures trading.
It appears that the rumors of the Frank-Dodd legislation impacting gold and silver futures trading are unfounded.

Thank you for your inquiry. We will continue to trade gold and silver futures as we are NFA licensed, whereas it sounds like your other provider is not. There will be no restrictions on gold or silver to my knowledge.
