Decline in Gold Lease Rates a Sign of BOE/ Fed Gold Intervention?

GATA has pointed out that gold lease rates have plummeted over the past week-taking out lows last seen in early September. Is this a sign of an imminent gold smash as occurred in September, or have rates suddenly plunged as a result of the BOE/Fed's intervention in gold markets to prevent safe haven flights from the Euro to gold?
