Ron Paul Wins Illinois Straw Poll

The striking thing about the results of Saturday's Illinois Straw Poll is not that Ron Paul won with 52 percent of the overall vote- it is in the breakdown of the online votes vs. the in person votes.
Ron Paul won 66.5 percent of the total votes cast online, vs. a mere 8 percent of those cast in person.  This implies that the MSM strategy of marginalizing and ignoring Paul is working- for those who still obtain their news from the MSM.  Apparently in Illinois, those who use the internet to obtain their news are 8 times more likely to vote for Ron Paul.
This has huge implications for the MSM and the elite status quo going forward, as the internet becomes the go-to source for news for the majority of the population.

(Reuters) - Ron Paul was declared the winner on Saturday of a weeklong Republican presidential straw poll in Democratic President Barack Obama's home state of Illinois.
Texas Congressman Paul won 52 percent of the combined 3,649 online and in-person votes cast between October 29 and Saturday evening. He won 66.5 percent of the votes cast over the Internet and 8 percent of those cast in person.
