Strauss-Kahn Told He Has No Immunity

Rumors have been swirling that Dominique Strauss-Kahn, the head of the IMF would get off (no pun intended) scott-free from any rape charges thanks to IMF immunity.
IMF officials do have diplomatic immunity, but it is never invoked in criminal cases. Perhaps DSK is just learning this thanks to this statement:

Dominique Strauss-Kahn was told he does not have diplomatic immunity from prosecution against charges including alleged rape, said Paul Browne, an NYPD spokesman.

Or perhaps as head of the IMF Strauss-Kahn is so used to raping entire nations (Greece and Ireland most recently) as standard operating procedure, he assumed one NY maid was pretty inconsequential.

In other humorous reports, the French government has released a statement that DSK is innocent until proven guilty.  ROTFL! Not in America! This is the land of 99% conviction rates.  Maybe not in France, but in America you are guilty once accused and the story appears in the media (unless your name is OJ).
