TEPCO has begun endgame operations, entombing the plant in concrete. Incredibly, it appears TEPCO has f'd this up as well, as "Public broadcaster NHK said late on Saturday that water was preventing the concrete from hardening and the pit was still leaking." So apparently the endless pumping of seawater onto the reactor to cool it is now preventing the use of concrete to entomb the reactors.
