Our favorite Turbo Tax user has ignored a subpoena to testify regarding Geithner's pivotal role in the alleged $8 billion collateral grab by JP Morgan of Lehman Brothers' assets in the days immediately proceeding the Lehman bankruptcy in 2008. The Lehman Bros' creditors committee has appealed to Judge Peck to force Geithner to testify. Timmy is reportedly attempting to use his current position as Treasury Secy to avoid questioning on the matter.
The creditors’ committee representing what’s left of Lehman Brothers asked bankruptcy Judge James Peck last week to force Timothy Geithner — currently Obama’s Treasury Secretary but President of the New York Fed at the time of the Lehman Brothers’ bankruptcy — to answer some questions. The original subpoena issued by the committee to Geithner to appear last August was ignored and so the committee appealed to Judge Peck.
The committee claims that Geithner played a pivotal role in Lehman’s collapse and may have “unique” knowledge about a last-minute transfer of some $8 billion out of Lehman to JPMorgan just before that collapse. Lehman is suing JPMorgan in an attempt to get that money back and Geithner’s testimony is crucial. Time is running out: The discovery period for the committee ends on March 16.
The committee claims that JPMorgan did a “last-second collateral grab” in order to save itself while inflicting fatal damage on Lehman at the same time. And Geithner was in on it. The week before the Lehman collapse Geithner made 35 phone calls to Lehman’s CEO Richard Fuld and another 10 calls to JPMorgan’s CEO Jamie Dimon, and at least some of those calls, said the committee, centered on those collateral demands. Therefore, the committee insists that Geithner should be required to reveal what those calls involved.

The Lehman Committee is perfectly correct to demand that Geitner ... in the Person of New York 'Fed' President ... IS liable to questioning in that capacity. Geitner's current Person, as Treasury Secretary, has NO GROUNDS to reject the subpoena under 'official immunity', but only to refuse answer to questions strictly applicable to his current role.
It will be interesting (though nothing will surprise me) to see if Judge Peck acts in his Person as 'federal employee', or in that as 'Defender of Law and Justice'.

One of the biggest govt. dufuses of all times and almost a bigger disgrace than the Telepromter Clown.
Interesting how "lil Timmie" announced a few months ago that he was leaving the Treasury.
Not only this man, but all the 'top' people are guilty of corruption and committing unlawful, unethical, and immoral acts, even if none of them are found 'guilty' in the court of law.
They know who they are...

The PEOPLE will someday, in the near future, try these treasonous pigs in a new, politically uncorrupted court of law and justice will have its day.

These clowns will receive justice. Call me optimistic, but I don't think there can be any statues of limitation on their actions. However long it takes, justice will be served.
Timmy's next Wall Street Journal article (see other SD post) may sound like this...
"My new roommate Bubba, looked over his newspaper and cast a glance at my butt tight little butt cheeks..."
We could only wish

Oops, too many "butts" above, but then when you are talking about Obama's boys that's not hard to do...
Pat fields hit the nail dead on the head. If Peck acts an honorable judge to uphold the law, things will go good. If Peck is a wimp and goes the way of cowardice, well you know the rest.
Smoke Geithner's hind end if found guilty according to law. Let him loose if if innocent. My own thoughts, "He's a worm that needs to go back underground."

Peck will be one terminant in this game
he will have to be a man of courage and conviction to get us beyond this point.
Decisions beyond this point will be driven by us or TPTB
He who would willingly bring hardship and injustice upon the weak and venerable, WILL be judged.
