Real Price of Physical Silver Hits $55!

COMEX Silver passed $44 today to much fanfare- if only among the silver crowd.  While silver investors have been gaining excitement about the prospects of $45 and even $50 silver- the reality is that physical silver bullion purchased on the free market has long since passed these price levels.

The real price to acquire actual, physical silver bullion via the free market has now reached $55.
This is an $11 premium to the $44 Comex price, or 25% premium to acquire physical, in-your-hand silver eagles.

We have again been monitoring 2011 US Silver Eagle ebay auctions tonight to get a feel for physical silver demand, and we have seen 2011 USSE's end at the following:
