Food stamp participation rate has now gone from 26 Million in 2008, to 44.1 Million in Jan 2011. We've now almost doubled US poverty in under 3 short years. Nice work Blankfein, apparently you really are doing "God's work."
The average foodstamp benefit continues to decline, now at $132.81 per month. We're so glad basic food prices have been plummeting, in line with the decrease in foodstamp benefits.
As this trend continues, we wonder what Wal-Mart will look like when the average benefit equals the cost of a loaf of bread. Should be plenty of new supply for Peopleofwalmart.com at that point- and the pics wont all be back-cleavage.
