Goldman Sachs Global ECS Research has charted the price of gold in USD and GBP from 1265 through the present. Notice that priced in 1998 USD, gold was valued almost 10 fold greater from the mid 1300's through the mid 1500's than it was immediately prior to the onset of the current bull market in 1998.
