Quick Update on U.S. Mint Silver Sales

American Silver Eagles are closing in on the record set in January 2011.  January 2012 SAE sales are within 1,000,000 ounces of the record at 5,547,000 ounces sold month to date with 8 days remaining.

Likewise, gold is also flying off the shelves.  113,500 ounces have been taken off the mint's hands which is the largest movement since January 2011.
