Gold has vaulted higher on the NFP report this morning, touching $1548.20, within 2 ticks of retaking the $1550 level. Gold continues to see strong safe haven flows in all currencies, as euro debt fears as well as rolling over US and Japan economies attack fiat holders from seemingly every direction. More and more are finally waking up to the truth that gold is the ultimate safe haven currency. If gold can close the week today above $1550, this will set up a run back to the all-time nominal high's near $1575. In short, gold looks magnificent.
Silver on the other hand continues to correct today, dropping below $35 at one point this morning. Whether Blythe's take-downs of the past 2 days have legs remains to be seen, look for extremely strong buying support to emerge should silver make it down anywhere near $34. This is where we have seen some deep pocketed individuals step in front of the market and just buy and buy and buy on the several previous occasions that silver threatened to take out $34 on the downside. In short, BTFD in silver. The longer silver remains in this broad range of $32-$39, the stronger the base becomes for its next march higher. During times of correction and consolidation is when the smart money makes the majority of its purchases. BTFD now, don't be like most sheeple and start buying again once silver takes out $40 or $45 and all the excitement comes rushing back into silver. The gold/silver ratio is back up to 44.3, and looks like it may want to target at least 50 before turning back and heading lower again. We shall see.
Meanwhile, the dollar is quietly trying to take out 74 to the downside again. It looks like the pop in the dollar is over, and we are headed back to find new lows. This will bear close watching over the next couple of weeks, as the dollar looks like it wants to test the all time lows near 72. Were the dollar to take out 72, things could get disorderly quickly, and our readers may not need to read the fictional account (Indivisible) of a dollar collapse, they will be able to write their own 1st person narratives.
