How does the DOC sell bullion and collect donations at the same time??

Two hands in the honey pot!

I think the little guy is going to be squeezed out of this market as $15.99 is a little step for the 2 oz shipment. I know I don't have $1000 to drop into silver - but I wish I did. I usually buy my silver 1 or 2 oz at a time. Just a thought... But perhaps we could start up a "Silver for Joe 6-Pack fund?" To Help SD ship silver on the cheap for the 2 oz buyer? I don't really have any extra money - but I do have a box full of slightly used padded envelopes, that I would gladly ship to SD to subsidize the "Silver for Joe 6-Pack fund". Perhaps $3 shipping fee for the 2 oz buyer?? But I have no idea of the time it would take in packaging small orders - so this is just a guess on costs. You don't really need insurance for two ounces of silver - Perhaps only shipping confirmation? Any ways - just let me know if you have use for a box of slightly used padded envelopes and I will mail them to you. billysunday2000@yahoo.com

Kinda of a totally selfish, dickhead statement only a jackoff would make! Keep up the awesome work Doc!

As a regular contributor to the site development, I know this cost was largely created by Doc and Bull Run out of pocket. Some of us threw some simoleons into the pot to help with the development.
I know that the subscriptions I cancelled in the last 6 months cost me more than the contributions. These newsletter subsequently became irrelevant once I began studying Silver Doctors and related sites.
The idea behind the SD Bullion site is to allow all of us to fire shots at the cartel, doing damage to the criminals who have ruled the roost of way to long.
The rule of law is damaged badly.
If we can work to take physical silver off the market and thusly hurt the paper market at a 100 to even 200 to 1 ratio, every 1, 2, 10 or 100 ounce purchase is worth 100 to 10,000 ounces
Where can you get that type of bank for the buck knowing that a paper trader is closer to destruction as a result of our efforts.
As for pricing, I've purchased some weight elsewhere and the cost is as good as I have found to date.
I need to brew up some more dry powder but I'll be back in the purchase market soon, Doc.
See ya and good fortune with this new venture. Let's blow the Cartel to Hell

SD, I like the material you post, but this site is absolutely crushing my computer. Way too much stuff on the pages.

I'll continue to buy and sell my silver at my local coin shops.
A relatrionship with them will prove invaluable in the furure.

Sorry Doc, you're in over your head. You cannot even get this little piss ant blog to run at normal speed.
How could I trust YOu with a silver order.

WOW!!!...The low blows are coming from everywhere now!!! The trolls are out in full force. Could it be that they dont want you to own/buy physical silver????? Are they from the banks???? How much are they paid to post????

The Doc said...

anonymous 9:48- your comment was personally deleted due to your unnecessary and unacceptable profanity directed towards silvergood. I have personally worked 60+ hours a week on this site for over a year and have yet to see a single penny, and I have personally invested thousands of my own $$ towards a site redevelopment. A recent $5,000 donation from a very influential player in the silver community who wishes to support this site has allowed us to break even with the costs associated with launching of the new website. Our goal in selling bullion is to generate enough of a revenue source so that I might be able to quit the day job at some point, and dedicate my full attention to this site. Not quite sure why you have a problem with the doc's desire to support himself from SD rather than the day job, but I will not tolerate your spamming of this site with profanity.

Best of luck with the bullion orders! I'm too paranoid for PMs in the mail, and too cheap to make the insurance to compensate worthwhile - especially in Canada. What I will do is keep reloading and firing those 1oz shots (often with assistance from friends who are used to my uncanny predictive abilities and will chip me $ for oz which I roll into 5, 10, and 20 oz cannon shots, or bursts from a 25 roll of automatic 99.99% Maple Leafs). I see the white in their bloodshot eyes - so fire at will!!!
We are approaching the 90 degree vertical of the paradigm-shift exponential curve. The awareness that has been percolating through us sub- and counter-culture types is now being forced into the awareness of the mainstream players by the increasingly desperate gyrations of a dying banking PARADIGM. Fiat always blows up anyway, but this is META. The very notion of fiat may be going the way of the dinosaur this time, so lock and load!

Thanks for all the hard work on the site.

For those small stackers....I am still hard at work lowering the cost of shipping. We are still negotiating discounted prices and ordering smaller boxes soon to meet demand.

New website is coming real soon. As the Doc pointed out, we just broke even. Website development does not come cheap and we are thankful to have the reader base we have.

In person pickups?

Anonymous said...

If you think the shipping is too high, jump in you Suburban, run to the LCS, buy 2 oz`s, stop, fill up the suburban, throw a burger down your throat, and then calculate your own shipping.

BullRun said...

No in person pickups at this time 12:15 a.m, but possibly in the future. Very true 12:28. As I mentioned earlier, we will take care of the frequent small stackers once we get this ball rolling.

BullRun said...

As it pertains to reducing shipping and handling. I think our last week's 99 cent buffaloes any qty was a great deal. We hope to run those kind of specials again soon.

Roll on DOC and Bull. Best of luck and happy stacking. Don't worry about the chuckle-heads downing your new business. Sounds like they have not an entrepreneurship bone in their body.
Good luck,

Doc & Bull Run, your huge undertaking of starting up a bullion busisness is nothing short of admirable, and I am with you on wanting to quit the day job to do work that more suits your interests.

For my part, I'd love to chuck the daily commute & workplace politics, and make a living growing fruit & vegetables and selling these at the Farmer's Market. But the income from this just doesn't 'pencil-out' to cover my family's living expenses.

So kudos to you two for stretching yourselve and taking on this new venture. May it be successful, and I have been doing my part to spread the good word about your business.

Good luck with the bullion site Doc and Bullrun! I know how hard it is to upstart a business, make it work, actually make money off it, and make people happy... It can suck the passion right out of you.. Don't let the haters bring you down!! There just jealous...haha..

Good on you Doc! Welcome to the cold hard edge of dealing, where a million nervous eyes will desert the ship if your price is just half a cent over Apmex's lol! Actually, no - brand loyalty and word of mouth as you know is extremely valuable - you've got those ticked, so hopefully you'll enjoy a smooth lift-off. Thankyou for all your effort Doc! Selling bullion from this site will be awesome. About time we got another source out there that we can really trust. No, it won't be easy but then nothing in life that is worthwhile ever is. This is one of "those moments" in your life when you have chosen to do what is right instead of what is easy. Superb example, IMHO. Am looking forward to this! :-)

Im a small buyer...2-5 oz at a time. Would love to buy from here instead of apmex.
Thanks for all the great articles!

Currently I can do just a little better at my LCS. But I'm watching close and if shipping comes down some for the small buyer I'll hop in. Thank you guys.

BullRun said...

Thank you for the supportive feedback. I'm hard at work negotiating better shipping prices for small buyers while still maintaining our 100% fully insured policy and fast shipping times. We are at break-neck prices for bullion, so there is no room to move any pennies of profit over to the shipping category.

Well done Doc and BullRun, and a big THANK-YOU to the $5000 dollar donor, incredible!

I just found your site last week from a youtube channel and I must say that I like it a lot and I am gonna buy some of your rounds as soon as the price settles this week or next. Buy the dips right? I look fwd to seeing more of your stuff and helping your business instead of feebay :)

What is shipping to Toronto?

Thanks

BullRun... I'm sure it's been addressed but I'm wondering for smaller orders what is the possibility of using US postal flat rate box then insure... Just a thought and as I said I'm sure it has already been mentioned or discussed... Make a cut off point to keep in small flat rate box... Would something like that be feasible? Deff not trying to complicate matters for you guys... Just brain storming out loud...
Still can't figure out how you guys are gonna be able to do the bullion sales without some type of hedging though... Hope all goes well...

Even a flat-rate USPS Priority Mail envelop with insurance is going to run about $8 to $9. For folks that only buy a couple of ounces at a time, working with a local coin dealer does make more sense. That's just how things are.

That said, I actively track the pricing of about 15 bullion dealers and the Doc's pricing on shipping combined with competitive premiums over spot for purchase prices is very attractive.

Thanks for all the hard work Doc. In the future, you'll see purchase orders from me.

BullRun said...

Danno,

Yes, I have been looking into flat rate box shipping. We use a third party insurer to insure all of our packages for a lot less than going through usps, fedex, or ups themselves. However, they require us to ship it registered if we go through the usps (add 10.15 to the base rate). Therefore, we are left with going through usps without the third party insurer and usps insurance per $100 gets expensive quick.

Concerning hedging. We are going to rely on a high volume of transactions and a greater attention to the price over spot we are charging to make sure we can get the product in and turn some kind of profit. We are also anticipating silver price to increase and would prefer to stay away from shorting silver like most of the other online bullion shops do on a regular basis. We took a tremendous amount of emails concerning our first direct from mint initiative, so we felt that operating a full scale bullion operation was less complicated for everyone and more feasible.

BullRun said...

Concerning the shipping to Toronto, please provide the # of ounces you are looking to buy. International shipping is based on weight and our ability to get it through customs. The Doc and I are looking at ways to ship products out of Canada (either to other Canadians or internationally) to avoid US Customs. US Customs does not like anything of value (silver) to leave the country. Therefore, we are going to try to avoid them all together for the non-US residents by operating a warehouse out of Canada.

Anonymous said...

BullRun... Thanks for the quick reply... I apologize for how I said about the hedging.. My thoughts didn't translate to words the way I was thinking... I by no means feel you should do as most other dealers unless that will be the only way... I'm glad that you guys were able to come up with a plan to avoid the criminal paper market and I hope it works... Lookin forward to the future and all the great things to come!

@BullRun

How would you run a warehouse in Canada? Any ideas how much it would cost and run the supply/orders for Canadians throught here?

My friend ordered some PMs from a US based site before. There were no problems shipping to Canada except the package getting stuck at the border due to FedEx requiring a form filled to allow them to broker the transaction.

Also what about security + payments.

Opening SD Bullion Canada? :)

BullRun said...

4:08. I am not going to disclose all the details of my couple of months of research getting this bullion business prepared, as I hope to build a competitive advantage. However, if you call UPS or FedEx they will tell you they do not ship or insure silver or gold coins per US government regulation (imagine that).

We do ship to other countries right now through other legal means, but it costs us a pretty penny. Last week I received a call for 1000 ounces to be shipped to Toronto and it was going to cost us $225.00. I know I can ship it for $50 if I had a warehouse in Canada.

BullRun said...

I should point out, even with shipping of $225 we were over $500 cheaper than their online dealer from Canada.

Doc, I totally support your goal of not working for the man. I really hope you are able to do that. Life's not about a paycheck, is it necessary? Sometimes, but not all the time. Life's way to short so enjoy doing what you do. If I were you I would leave it up to my higher power, if his will is for you to do this then that's what it is. The fact that you and bullrun are starting to sell fucking silver puts you on superstar status with me. I subscribed to ted butler for $34 a month I read zerohedge and turd but none of them had the balls to take on an endeavor like you guys are doing. It's gonna take a commitment so great that I feel it will pay off and you can quit your day job. Best of luck.

The Doc said...

Thanks for the kind words T. You might be even more excited to find out we aren't hedging our bullion by buying COMEX paper shorts like all the other bullion dealers.

Anonymous said...

Damn Doc say it ain't so. So every time I buy from apmex that's what they do? Well, it's official then Doc when I get my settlement check I'm gonna buy my 570 ounces from you. I'll write a check. That's disturbing shit.
T

Anonymous said...

Matter of fact I'm gonna call the guy from apmex I do business with tomorrow.
T

The Doc said...

Yup, literally every dealer and supplier we have talked to in launching this all short silver on the COMEX whenever they place a buy order to hedge their price risk should silver be slammed by Blythe. This is why APMEX, Gainesville, and the rest of the big online guys keep selling into price smashes, when the little guys and local shops are 'sold out'. Guys who paid cash for phyzz and need to make a profit dont want to sell at a $4 discount on a day when paper silver is raided. Guys who have an equal short position don't care. It's gonna be challenging...but we're gonna attempt it.

The Doc said...

Oh, and when you continually short your inventory to hedge your risk...but your product is in a massive bull market...you wind up with a net short position in your own product (gold, silver). This is my guess of at least part of the reason why kitco is in bankruptcy and nearly $200 million in debt.

Any plans to sell junk silver?

Leon in Toronto said...

I hope by the time I can buy 1000 oz at once you'll have a Canadian warehouse...
Since I've begun looking at the patterns of the silver charts, I suspect it's quite possible that, as I've seen theorized, the manipulators aren't just big fish, they're the m*$erf*&ng water! They know just how much to let the gate drift open before the bull starts to raise his head up, and just how long it'll take him to begin to go for the gate, and just how much slamming it takes to make him sad again, for a moment...
In other words, they seem to combine the capacity for creating sudden artificial volume at a precise moment with a sort of drag effect from utilizing detailed information gleaned from realtime market feedback. They can reduce the drag to allow the gate to open a bit, etc...
I suppose this makes me either a conspiracy theorist or a new kid, depending on if you're a troll or not...
Another day, another (silver) dollar...tock...

there's a lot of labor Doc and his gang will be doing, be thankful he's trying not to make a profit at these prices listed above.
