Yes Danno, flat rate of $30 in the United States for orders under 500 ounces. Orders over 500 ounces are free in the United States. We will handle international orders on a case by case basis (shipping charges will obviously vary).

2:52. We aren't accepting credit cards today besides requiring them for a back-up payment method. We are planning on accepting them next week and yes there will be a surcharge.
Are you charging sales tax for orders to Ohio residents ?

Good question 5 oz. While we have two warehouses for the metal, currently our LLC is under Ohio law. Therefore, we are required to charge sales tax for transactions we conduct in Ohio. If you live outside of Ohio, we are not required to charge sales tax. We are looking into other avenues to avoid this sales tax in the future. Hopefully Ron Paul will take over as president and this will be solved for us.

anonymous- my true agenda is helping the average Joe protect himself with gold and silver. I have worked on this site 60+ hours per week for a year now, without seeing a single dime personally. Would you be willing to work over 3,200 hours a year for free? I support my family with my day job. My goal is to one day be able to support myself from revenue from SilverDoctors, to be able to dedicate 100% of my working time to SD. Currently my wife wants me shut SD down because she sees no benefit and it takes away from family time. This is my passion, and my dream is to be able to make a living doing something I enjoy. If you can't understand that, that's your business.
Also- BullRun and I are not selling a single ounce of our own stash, and I don't believe anyone that reads this site is a sheeple. BullRun and I liquidated the majority of our remaining paper shares to acquire inventory for this undertaking.

@Anon 4:20 - your def. of sheeple seems to be the exact opposite of mine... anyone buying silver is automatically not part of the sheeple, nor is the seller who is facilitating that purchase for a small profit in return for their efforts. Sheeple are actually those who discredit these buyers and sellers, as well as those who for some reason think blog owners and coin dealers should be donating their time and effort for free.
Just turn back to CNBC - you'll definitely find what you're looking for there.... those guys aren't looking for a money making machine like the greedy proprietors of this blog are.

It's ok to mark up an item for sale, as Don Barzini put it, "Of course you can charge a fee for the services, after all, we are not communists."
Doc's price may be a few cents above Gainsville, but Gainsville has a massive buybact operation to subsidize the offer price. Doc's price is 10 cents lower than the huge Provident Metals site and if ten cents to much to support The Doc in his fledging business, so what. Same rationale as supporting your small town hardware store VS the big box store; drive 20 mile to save a few cents. I would not hesitate to support friends and neighbors; the price difference will be quickly forgotten, but knowing you have helped with the maintainnce of this great site, and to benefit your neighbors (Doc's) well being is an everlasting gift TO YOURSELF.

Now they are providing us, the readers of the site, an honest place to exchange fiat toilet paper for real hold of wealth... I learned many years ago in what I do that if you constantly go for the deals rather than build a loyalty with a couple distributors through the good and bad that you will not last... You also end up missing even better opportunities by not supporting those that support you... So if you don't like what there doing, GET TO STEPPIN!!!

Is there a guarantee that the silver purchased from SD Buillion will not have any fake bars or coins in the purchase?
I apologise if this is a dumb question but I read that there has been some issues of fake product from China and there are videos that supposedly show how to test for fake silver at home.

I checked prices of two of my sources today and compared them to Silver Doctor. They were both a few ticks higher than Doc's prices. Gainesville's prices are not always the same every day. Other sites are not always consistent either.
My last two purchases ended up being $1 and $1.20 over spot respectively. One paid for shipping and one didn't It cost me about 20 cents an oz shipping for a mint order.
I shipped 100 ounces to a friend the other day. That cost me $50 USPS including insurance.
$30 for less than 500 ounces is a good deal in my mind and I have bought regularly for the last few years now.
Given what I've learned in buying and shipping is that Silver Doctor site is one of the best prices I've found today's price reviews and in prior buys.
My vote is with Doc for the simple reason he and Bull Run have worked tirelessly for a year to get this site up and running.
As a business owner with the acute knowledge of how hard it is to start and survive in this lousy economy, my hat is off to Doc and his team to make this buying venue possible.
Doc has always presently himself as a tireless advocate of the average buyer, working huge hours to gather the information that keeps us informed. While I blog hop 5 hours a day, studying all the posts that relate to these industries and others that have an impact on our lives, no one has made it clear their focus is on us, the averege Joe and Jane. IMO
With the guidance I received on this site and complmented by other blogs, silver has become a part time business venture for me, not as a seller, but for the simple reason that it replaces paper net worth with something tangible.
No business owner can work for free.
The government might like that but a business owner must make their investment pay off. Silver Doctors is no different. Given that, I will buy from Doc before anyone else, even if there are a few pennies difference in price, because I believe in the entrepreneurial spirit and what it means to us. Once I reload with some more dry powder I plan to buy more phyzz. And it will be here.
I think most of you know I don't have any axes to grind when it comes to promoting a thing.

We are shipping internationally. Prices will vary based off the location. US Customs is a pain as well 8:19 resulting in a slightly higher shipping cost than what it should have to be.

5:59 Please listen to the Eric Sprott interview where the Doc and Eric Sprott discussed the silver supply situation as it stands right now. Eric Sprott had no trouble sourcing the PSLV purchases and, at the present time, we are not having trouble replacing our inventory we have purchased for SD Bullion.

I manufacture a product and I am very fortunate to have thousands of places selling my product. I also retail my product at a price and then most online sellers undersell my price. The point here is plenty of people still buy directly from us at a higher price! Why, because we are the real deal. We care, we put our customers needs before ours and we know the product.
